Vast open moorland roles for miles before plunging into deep valleys and oceans. From a trickle to a stream, water roars across pebbles, boulders and beaches before colliding with it’s home, the Atlantic.
Upland habitats and their soil structure regulate water flow and prevent sediment build up in rivers. Both in turn prevent flooding of the rich lowland areas that many of us call home.
